"Copslaves" follows the arc of these three men and the conflict of Leather Officer and Officer Max in delicious and realistic detail. It makes you wonder just how much this twisted tale from South of Market leather happened for real with a few embellishments, and how much sprouted forth from the wells of author Alan G. Goes' dark imagination. These cops and their charges are dangerous and desirable, the macho Tom Of Finland fantasy nightmare so many of us secretly wish for. It's not Good Cop/bad Cop as much as it is Bad Cop/Even Worse Cop...and it will suck you in. The brisk pace and well-rooted knowledge of the leatherscene makes "Copslaves" one hot piece of hard-handed reading.
